Operation Lockdown

Over the weekend Fylde Rural Task Force were out on foot patrol in both Staining and St Annes as part of Operation Lockdown🔐

The Operation has been introduced to provide a high visibility presence to target and disrupt vehicle crime, as well as providing reassurance to our communities. 

As part of our patrol, the team have been checking parked vehicles to ensure they are locked and secure🚙  

We were pleased to see the majority of vehicles were locked with no valuables left in sight.

However for those vehicles that were insecure, the owners were contacted and crime prevention advice was given🗣️

We want to make sure that your belongings and valuables are kept as safe as possible. If we were able to gain access your vehicle without you knowing, then so could a thief!

Operation Lockdown will continue with frequent deployments across all of our towns and villages in Fylde, both during the day and overnight.

We will be using our stop search powers where necessary and we may even be out and about in plain clothes keeping an eye on hotspot areas👀
